The lamellar liquid crystal phase of PHYTOCREAM® 2000 contains a multilayer structure filled with water. When applied to the skin, the water will not evaporate immediately, and it has an immediate and long-lasting moisturizing effect . The formation of the liquid crystal structure significantly reduces the van der Waals force between the dispersed oil droplets, thereby reducing the tendency of droplet aggregation, improving the stability of the emulsified system, and making the sustained release of active substances better than the emulsified system obtained with ordinary emulsifiers.
